[Gegl-developer] GEGL GObject introspection file

2011-05-31 Thread Sayak
Thanks to all, i have successfully compiled GEGL in windows using MSYS/MinGW. I
have tested several C-codes and all are running. Now, in the next step, i need
to use the C-code as a native code and call it using JNI to Android programming.
I have heard of GEGL GObject introspection file at gegl/Gegl-0.1.gir. Please
tell me how to use this file to generate JNI and Java code automatically. by the
way, i didnt find any .gir file in my system...

 Weird, it looks like libtool is invoked with babl on the include path,
 but then when libtool actually does the compilation, the babl include
 path is missing. Perhaps libtool thinks the include path is invalid
 and don't pass it on to gcc? Are you using the latest version of a
 mingw supported libtool? If you are, someone more experienced in Win32
 compilation needs to take over. You could try copy the command libtool
 runs and add the babl compiler flags yourself.

Hi Martin,
I have downloaded all the packages from this link..
http://www.mingw.org/wiki/InstallationHOWTOforMinGW
this should be updated versions...

2011-05-27 Thread Sayak
In my scrip, i set INSTALL_PREFIX=/opt
But in the config.log, the path become: C:/gimp-win-beta/build/msys/1.0/lib
If variable INSTALL_PREFIX is set correct,
the lib path must have this pattern:
BABL_CFLAGS='-I$INSTALL_PREFIX/include/babl-0.1  '

These are the steps that i have followed inspired from this
link..http://lightningismyname.blogspot.com/p/compiling-gimp.html... and some
other links...

steps for compiling GEGL

1. Create the following directories

C:\gimp-win-beta
C:\gimp-win-beta\build
C:\gimp-win-beta\downloads
C:\gimp-win-beta\perl

2. Install MinGW @ C:\gimp-win-beta\build

3. Install MinGW packages @ C:\gimp-win-beta\build

4. give PATH variable C:\gimp-win-beta\build\bin

5. Install MSYS, MSYS Development Kit, MSYS core

6. give HOME variable C:\gimp-win-beta\build\msys\1.0\home

7. Unzip Gtk+ bundle @ C:\gimp-win-beta\build\msys\1.0 (for updated pkg-config)

8. configure make make install babl
copy babl.pc and babl.pc.in @ \lib\pkg-config after ./configure

9. configure make make install gegl
copy gegl.pc and gegl.pc.in @ \lib\pkg-config after ./configure

[Gegl-developer] Compiling GEGL in Windows

2011-05-20 Thread Sayak
Hi All,
I am new in GEGL development. For some times, i was using OpenCV library in
Visual Studio 2010 to create an image manipulation application in Android. C -
JNI - Android. because of the limitation of the OpenCV library, i am interested
to use the GEGL library for a wider scope. Unfortunately, i didnt get any proper
guide about how to compile GEGL in visual studio. I would like to know the steps
that i need to do.
I know that for windows i need MSYS/MinGW. but how to use MSYS/MingGW? i have no
experience in that. also i have now clear idea about how to run ./configure.
i also know that to use GEGL, i need GEGL, Babl, GTK+. how to compile?
after doing all these, how do i need to configure my visual studio projects?
at first i just want to try to compile this
#include gegl.h

int main(int argc, char **argv)
{
  gegl_init (argc, argv);
  // other GEGL code
  gegl_exit ();
}
