[gem5-users] Hello everyone, how to count the distribution of requests sent by core to cache in each cycle

2021-11-10 Thread zhen bang via gem5-users
Hello everyone, how to count the distribution of requests sent by the core to
cache in each cycle?
Is it to count the requests entering the port in the MandatoryQueue? How should
this be implemented in gem5?

2021-11-10 Thread Gabriel Busnot via gem5-users
Hi,

I am not aware of a roadmap for any new version on the gem5 website yet.
But you can still use the develop branch of the public gem5 repository. This is
where the latest patches are pushed on a day-to-day basis before making their
way to stable upon releases. I believe this branch to be very usable as commits
go through a unit testing and code review procedure... And if you face a bug,
feel free to contribute with a jira issue and even a patch that will make it to
the next release ;).

Best,
Gabriel

Hi,

Prefetch implementation seems unchanged and incomplete since the first release
of the CHI protocol. In particular, the notifyPf* functions in
CHI-cache-funcs.sm are still all empty. I am also not aware of any related open
Jira issues.

Regards,
Gabriel
