[gem5-users] Time taken to build executable is more than an hour

Hi all, I am trying to go through the online tutorial and building the simulator, the problem is that it generally takes more than a couple of hours, also it gets stuck at random points during the build,which i have to do a Ctrl-C to get out of, is it normal?I am using a Virtualbox VM with ubuntu
