Hi Ghalib

“Debug-flags” is a gem5.opt parameter.
The error is related to the script (se.py). If you want to execute your a.out , 
you have to pass the correct cmd parameter.
More info with:
gem5.debug  configs/example/se.py --help

I have used the following options with gem5.

$ ./build/RISCV/gem5.opt  --debug-flags=ExecUser ./configs/example/se.py a.out

Getting Errors:
--
gem5 Simulator System.  http://gem5.org
gem5 is copyrighted software; use the --copyright option for details.

gem5 compiled Jun 17 2019 18:51:36
gem5 started Jun 18 2019 18:29:56
gem5 executing on exaleapserver-Inspiron-3470, pid 15617
command line: ./build/RISCV/gem5.opt --debug-flags=ExecUser 
./configs/example/se.py a.out

Error: script doesn't take any positional arguments


$ ./build/RISCV/gem5.opt ./configs/example/se.py 
--inst-trace-file=INST_TRACE_FILE a.out
