You can try the jnet frontend which uses the legacy wd commands. The j602
form scripts can be run directly or with minor changes.
Jnet ide addon can be installed via jal. It runs on windows only. You can
play with the demo.

J8 wd uses Qt which has its own layout manager. We no longer give xywh
I am an old fan of J who stuck with J602 because of theForm Editor when it
was dropped in J7 & later updates.
I have now returned to using J after a long absence.
Installed J 9.4 two days ago.
Frankly I find wd cmds bewildering & would far prefer to use the old Form
Editor.
However I note J602 is
