Hi All,
My name is Lv, Alex and my Wiki user account is "alexlv", I would like to
contribute an open source project to Apache so that I need to put my proposal
on wiki first. Would you please grant me write access?
Thanks.
Best regards,
Alex Lv

Ah... Thanks for the clarification.
+1 (binding)
As the build will be fixed after the artifacts on Central and we can still
build with thrift installed locally (as in previous releases), I don't think
it's a blocker.

Hey Sam,
I don't think the discussion died down. Questions were asked. I'm not
sure we got answers.
At this point, I'm +1 to accept OpenWhisk. I'm not going to block
OpenWhisk, I am going to work on the assumption that our current git
requirements are met (apache is the canonical repository).
Hi Luciano,
Please let me know if SystemML still needs help for an active mentor.
Some projects I mentored will be graduating soon so I will have bandwidth
to do active mentor and contribute to this project.
Thanks,
Henry

As you have noted in
https://github.com/apache/incubator-impala/blob/master/EXPORT_CONTROL.md,
"Designed for use with OpenSSL" sounds right to me for Impala - which
makes Impala an "Encryption item".

Hi
Thanks for your kindly clarifying, Henry.
Sure, we will add BUILD.md file in the next release under the root directory
to improve build instructions.

Agree.
I think we can improve the build instructions and the build itself for the next
release, but we can move forward on this release.

Thanks for the info, Liang.
As John has mentioned, one way we could make it easier to build is to have
BUILD.md file that explain how to build CarbonData properly,
Should not block this release.

The SystemML podling would benefit from having one or two more active
mentors that could help the project better navigate the IPMC release
process and move toward graduation.
If someone interested, please let the project know...
Also, if you are at ApacheCon, and contemplating becoming a SystemML
