Cool. I've added myself to the list of Initial Committers on the wiki. (As I understand it, during the proposal phase of an incubator project, anyone can jump in and volunteer to be a committer. But if anyone wants to know more about me or my background, feel free to ask). Phil On Sun, Jul 17, 2011 at 7:52 AM, Avery Ching ach...@yahoo-inc.com wrote: Phillip, Thank you for your suggestion. [IP CLEARANCE] Apache PDFBox PDF/A Preflight
Hi, the Apache PDFBox project has received a contribution of a PDFBox-based PDF/A-Preflight implementation. * The code is attached to the PDFBOX-1056 JIRA issue [1] * The IP Clearance form has been committed to the Incubator website. [2] * A vote has passed on the dev@pdfbox mailing list [3] The clearance passes by lazy consensus if no -1 votes are cast within the next 72 hours. Thanks and Regards Andreas Lehmkühler [1] https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PDFBOX-1056 [2] http://incubator.apache.org/ip-clearance/pdfbox-padaf.html [3] http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/pdfbox-dev/201107.mbox/%3c4e232710.50...@lehmi.de%3E - To unsubscribe, e-mail: general-unsubscr...@incubator.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: general-h...@incubator.apache.org
SGA for AL 2.0 licensed code base
I'm just curious. Do we still need an SGA for a podling codebase that's AL 2.0 licensed? Regards, Alan - To unsubscribe, e-mail: general-unsubscr...@incubator.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: general-h...@incubator.apache.org

Re: SGA for AL 2.0 licensed code base
+1 The main thing is that Apache must be able to rely upon the license contained in the files. This is the same reason that we don't routinely accept contributions that are licensed in the public domain. Just because a file says it has a particular license doesn't mean that the contributor of that file has the legal right to contribute it. Bottom line: we need to establish the legal right of the contributor to contribute any files to an Apache project. Re: [PROPOSAL] Proposing Giraph for the Apache Incubator
I have experiences about graph processing as follows: * RDF pattern matching and storage system on HBase * some types of graph counting * subgraph isomorphism on large graph data with MapReduce (I'm writing a research paper on this) * all pairs of shortest paths with CUDA I have just added myself to the list of initial committers on the wiki. Re: Retire Olio?
Perhaps. But the project is still useful and I see researchers using it (the activity usually picks up during the summer months). If we can arrange for the project to be still easily available i.e. downloadable binary kits + svn access that would be ideal. Shanti On Mon, Jul 18, 2011 at 11:31 AM, Noel J.
