[RESULT] [VOTE] Release Apache Druid (incubating) 0.14.1 [RC1]
Hi all, The vote to release Apache Druid (incubating) 0.14.1 passed with three +1 binding votes: Julian Hyde Justin Mclean Furkan KAMACI Vote thread: https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/4100f5323b6560fdf5e3e91c507bd967e41492ac6638defec59e88ab@%3Cgeneral.incubator.apache.org%3E Thank you to the above IPMC members for taking the time to review and provide guidance on our release! We will proceed with publishing the approved artifacts and sending out the appropriate announcements in the coming days. Thanks, Clint Apache Druid (incubating) is an effort undergoing incubation at The Apache Software Foundation (ASF), sponsored by the Apache Incubator. Incubation is required of all newly accepted projects until a further review indicates that the infrastructure, communications, and decision making process have stabilized in a manner consistent with other successful ASF projects. While incubation status is not necessarily a reflection of the completeness or stability of the code, it does indicate that the project has yet to be fully endorsed by the ASF.
Re: [VOTE] Release Apache Druid (incubating) 0.14.1 [RC1]
No worries, thanks for the update! I'll add that to the set of things I'm going to try to replicate any build issues and help make things smoother. Re: [VOTE] Release Apache Druid (incubating) 0.14.1 [RC1]
Thank you everyone for reviewing and voting on the release candidate! I'll start a vote result thread and begin to prepare for a release soon. > I got some test failures: > org.apache.druid.storage.s3.TestAWSCredentialsProvider.testWithFileSessionCredentials(org.apache.druid.storage.s3.TestAWSCredentialsProvider) > Run 1: TestAWSCredentialsProvider.testWithFileSessionCredentials:98 Thanks for mentioning this Julian, currently I think the AWS_DEFAULT_REGION environment variable needs to be set for the S3 unit tests to work correctly, I will try to find a solution for this for the next release, or at least try to document it better. > - Could compile (with some difficultly it took several attempts - so I think the build order may not be correct?) Justin, what were the issues you ran into when compiling so we can be sure to clear it up for the next release? I know -Prat can cause issues if the directory isn't clean, but did even a plain 'mvn clean install' give you trouble? I will also try in a totally clean environment to see if I run into any problems. Cheers, Clint
