POI is a Library and an API. Hell tool is anything. A few people even
qualify ;-) ( http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~wrader/slang/t.html )
These kinds of changes are probably lazy consensus as well.

POI is absolutely server side. It has some uses on the client but the whole
design is aimed at the servlet stream. Otherwise it would be based on
java.io.File
