A slightly friendlier version would be to use character entity references defined for HTML 3.2 (see http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html32#latin1). For example, for a lower case 'a' with an acute accent, instead of inserting '#225;' into the javadoc , simply insert 'aacute;', which is both easier to
