The Jakarta Commons package is pleased to announce the availability of "Version 1.0" releases of three packages: * Beanutils - Generic manipulation of JavaBeans wrapped around the Java reflection APIs, including the ability to get and set nested and indexed properties. * Collections - A wide variety of classes that conform to the API contracts of the Java2 Collections APIs. * Digester - Rules-based processor for XML input streams, providing a much simpler interface than the standard SAX APIs. The fact that these packages have been released means that they are considered to be of production quality (and therefore worthy of being relied on by other projects), and that -- consistent with the charter of the Commons project -- backwards API compatibility will be maintained to the largest possible degree to protect dependent projects from arbitrary API changes.
