I am unable to locate the tomcat 3.2.2 codeline, I need to
know if the problem with org.apache.tomcat.util.SimplePool is fixed, and when

  moved to tomcat.util.collectors in 3.2.2 or 3.3?

This is a tomcat-dev discussion.

It was moved in util.collections in 3.3, and AFAIK all fixes are done.
( in SimplePool )

Let me know if there is anything else missing.

From the latest check, Tomcat is building just fine. Problem is solved?

http://jakarta.apache.org/builds/gump/latest/jakarta-tomcat.html

So, it looks as if it is working...

If that is the case, there is nothing we can do until Sam gets back, as
I know that Gump does a cvs update prior to the build process every time.

tomcat3 build works fine - Gump reports a failure that was fixed 2
weeks ago. ( the report is on a line that is commented out in build.xml ).

If anyone can do a "cvs update" - I'm sure the failure will go away.

RE: Vacation - Sam Ruby - Tomcat3 failure in Gump

2001-05-11 Thread Larry Isaacs

Hi Sam,

The jakarta-tomcat project doesn't seem to be getting updated.
http://nagoya.apache.org/~rubys/gump/cvs_jakarta-tomcat.html
seems to say that the last update occurred May 3'rd. The
jakarta-tomcat build.xml (and others) have a date of May 4'th.
There have been two updates to build.xml since this date,
one was to fix the gump failure. Can you check why gump isn't
updating the jakarta-tomcat source, or give me some hints
about where to look?

Cheers,
Larry

Vacation - Sam Ruby

2001-05-11 Thread Sam Ruby

Starting tomorrow, I will be inaccessible by both e-mail and phone for a
week.

Gump will presumably continue to run in my absence, and if there are any
updates to project definitions required, there are enough people on
alexandria-dev who can make the changes. Worst case, have somebody comment
out the naglist, and I will fix whatever problems I can when I get back.

It would be nice if the tomcat3 and ant communities could look into getting
tomcat to be buildable again using a dist build of ant from cvs. And if
the taglibs community can figure out why the build fails complaining that I
didn't specify servletapi.jar, when as near as I can tell, I *DID*. And if
the xalan smoketest could be made to pass again. And if turbine could
actually produce something that jetspeed would be willing to step up to...
;-)

But most of all, it would be nice if [EMAIL PROTECTED] could look into what
is causing CVS to be abysmally slow these past few weeks.
