Ah, OK.  When Dave Fisher said "Any interested party should be sure to
make their fork shortly." it seemed to be implying that the code would
disappear unless it was forked immediately.

Looking around svn, I do see code from retired podlings there, which
is comforting.  There's nothing worse than having previously available
code disappear.  :-)

Wait, does that mean that the source for all retired podlings
disappears from all ASF repos (no archive) when a podling is retired??

If that's the case, I vote -1 for this retirement, and all future such
votes.  If that's not the case, then sure.  But I'm against anything
that potentially results in a loss of available code.
