5.) Try to replace GNU libtool with sys-devel/slibtool

slibtool is aimed to be a drop-in replacement although at the current
state it still has a couple of hiccups. I've created a tracker bug at
[1] to track all issues arising from using slibtool instead of GNU
libtool.

Cheers

Best way is to come ask for help on #gentoo-dev-help and
#gentoo-proxy-maint on freenode IRC.

Adopted the wonderful stow, but I’ll leave xstow for others.

[gentoo-dev] FYI: Link to all tickets of m-n packages with a PATCH

2021-01-17 Thread Jonas Stein

Hi,

there is now a saved search in bugzilla "m-n PATCH" which you can add to
your bugzilla footer.

It shows all open tickets, which are assigned to maintainer-needed
AND
have the keyword PATCH

https://bugs.gentoo.org/buglist.cgi?cmdtype=dorem&namedcmd=m-n
PATCH&remaction=run

Currently there are 54, some are very old.
Please help to get these closed.

Thank you very much

I am actively using radicale on arm, arm64 and amd64 and thus
feel like I should contribute. :-)

As this was my debut to package maintainment, and I'd need at least
some initial pointers on how to start, what's the least bothering
way for everybody to ask for help and such.

BTW: There is 2.x in portage but 3.x out, so there is not just a
minor version bump to do.

Thanks

Can you please take a 2nd look at this ?
There's a comment on the bug today :

   Alex Belits 2021-01-17 07:57:52 UTC
Compiles just fine with GCC 9.3.0.
Bugs are mostly lack of compatibility with non-Linux platforms
and hanging with bad OpenGL implementations.

I just remerged it on my stable system without any problems.
The latest Gentoo update was 2020-12-05 .

It provides a set of extra screesavers for Xscreensaver
which are attractive enough to be worth keeping available.
