Re: [gentoo-dev] dev-lang/nqc could use a maintainer...
* Ciaran McCreesh [EMAIL PROTECTED] [06/02/24 18:15 +]: Does someone want to pick up dev-lang/nqc? It's a C-like compiler for Lego Mindstorms, and it needs some version bump loving (bug #89257) and some nasty global scope code replacing. I'll take care for it, as I need this tool this weekend ;-) Regards, Lars -- Lars Weiler [EMAIL PROTECTED] +49-171-1963258 Gentoo Linux PowerPC: Developer and Release Engineer Gentoo Infrastructure : CVS Administrator Gentoo Foundation : Trustee pgp7asMSrCRxI.pgp Description: PGP signature
[gentoo-portage-dev] Locales
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125264 Most of installation scripts of et locale are broken. Because of that, i would like some way to configure portage in such way that it starts with changing locale into english, then installs and then starts locale back into estonian -- otherwise i have to do so by hand :) [ there are some my, Tambet's, comments near that bug in topic ]-- tvali(e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; msn: [EMAIL PROTECTED];icq: 317-492-912)I like net more than life, cause if i do something wrong, then people in net will tell me that i do, so that i can fix it -- people in life will tell others that i do.

For a real kicker though, throw portdbapi.auxdbmodule = cache.metadata_overlay.database into /etc/portage/modules and FEATURES=-metadata-transfer into make.conf. Then rm -rf /var/cache/edb/dep. This one goes to Zac Medico, the current release coordinator, and builds on Brian's work to cut out cache updating altogether. New in pre6 and in need of testing - especially when local modifications are made - but very promising. Before I switched from rsync to cvs I used metadata_overlay all of the time. Andrew Gaffney has also reported good results with this module. He share's the portage tree (including pre-generated rsync cache) via nfs and uses metadata_overlay on all the clients so that they pull pre-generated cache on demand. Yep, still going strong through _pre6-r3 on multiple arches. -- Andrew Gaffneyhttp://dev.gentoo.org/~agaffney/ Gentoo Linux Developer Installer Project -- gentoo-portage-dev@gentoo.org mailing list
