to us, even if you don't have a patch. I'd like to know of
everything that is broken.
OK, expect the reports within the next few hours.

have to verify wether OpenOffice.org emerge failure is GCC 4 related or
not, but this I will do over the weekend.
The bug numbers are: 117547, 117548, 117572 and 117573.

from the GCC ebuild in the future.
So my question is: Would it be a good idea to generally turn GCC into split
ebuilds (like KDE/X.org)? Pros/Cons?

$HOME directories shouldn't be touched by emerge.
And especially not root's $HOME.

the
external package is something different.
I'd say the only difference is the version. Don't know how frequently
the in-kernel module code is updated, though.

Hi,
is there a bug to which one could attach ebuilds which require dependency
changes to adapt to the new postgresql packaging scheme?
I already have some in my local overlay which I would like to share.
Thanks...

Hi,
I'm getting Connection refused when trying to connect to
http://bugs.gentoo.org. Is this intentional?

not yet ... but you can find binary packages here:
http://dev.gentoo.org/~vapier/m68k/
Ah yes, I will see if I find some
. The only way I
could convince portage to replace pam_krb5-20030601-r1 with pam_krb5-2.1.8
was to mask the former.
Anything else I can do before I commit it to bugzilla?

Try df -i, maybe you're out of inodes.

tnx, its out of inodes. How I can solve this problem?
1) backup the data and recreate the filesystem (maybe switch to reiserfs)
2) Create a new filesystem, copy
documentation.
I'm also interested in this since I'm searching for a way to install
software into an AFS filesystem for easy distribution. But this has special
requirements (rw path vs. ro path). Of course, I'd like to do it the
Gentoo Way(tm).

Hi,
I recently switched to GCC 4.0.2. A handful of packages didn't (re-)compile
during emerge -e system and emerge -e world. Is there a big GCC 4 related
bug in bugzilla where I can report those problems or should I write one
report for each package?
Thanx...
