Re: [gentoo-dev] Re: Dev Laptop Broken @ FOSDEM
A little update: neysx has changed his gorg server: it's now redirecting to www.g.o, thus you can't see the update anymore. Infra: please fix this issue :-) Dimitry Bradt wrote: Rob, neysx.org is only an unofficial copy of gentoo.org maintained by neysx. The reason why the page is updated there and not on www.g.o is b/c infra has some trouble w/ sycing the cvs (aparently). http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/userrel/adopt-a-dev/ (the official website) will also contain your request when infra fixes the problem. My laptop is really important to me, its where I do all of my dev work and its also my main way to communicate with my friends and family in the UK, I currently live in Switzerland. It would mean the world to me if you would take the time to read the entry on my blog, possilby donate a small amount of money (I'm up to 69usd so far!) or add a direct link to the blog entry on your blog or website. Petteri Räty wrote: Roy Marples wrote: Saying that, the project is almost complete - the only reason it never hit portage was the it destroyed config parts that it did not know about. After SOC finished, my student has been mute to my emails :/ Thanks Roy Maybe we should restrict people we approve to work on projects to existing Gentoo developers or to people with a history of contributions to bugzilla or overlays. This would at least increase the change that they are not here just for the money. Regards, Petteri Wouldn't that just be discrimination ? :) We did even see Pioto (and killerX soon) become a dev. It's just a guess tho, but i think we could miss opportunities if we do that. Regards, diox -- gentoo-dev@gentoo.org mailing list
[gentoo-dev] [FOSDEM2007] HW insurance for Gentoo Staff bio for the schedule
hiya all :) First of all i wish you all a good new year :) Because we have the chance to take *free* hardware insurance for the fosdem event (no matter if you're at the booth or in the devroom) To get that all insured, i'll need the following info before january, 16th ('07). Please note that every device should be followed by it's serial number. I'll need the following info (i've put them in an example ;): speaker nameDimitry Bradt/name nickdiox/nick email[EMAIL PROTECTED]/email hw IBM Thinkpad r50p (sn: xxx)(security tracing number which is avail on most laptops: x) /hw hw Qtek 2020i (sn: xxx) /hw hw Level one 8port switch (sn: xxx) /hw /speaker Also i'll need a small bio about each speaker/a small text about what they'll going to talk. (for the schedule, which they'll print on this year's folder). A picture can be provided too, but then we'll have to get pictures from *every* speaker. So you all have to agree on putting your picture on the folder. Keep the bio short'n'complete ;-) BTW: Don't forget to mention your gentoo working area in the bio ;-) Also i'd like to ask all ppl with incomplete arrival information at www.g.o/proj/en/pr/events/fosdem2007-belgium/ ,to fix the document or reply the info to this mail :) Regards, -- _ ,88b. .dPY8b _..-'.(o) ;8b ,'..-..`aad888b ``._ `*Y8b / `Y88b. : Y888b.
