I can't any ebuild for xserver

What does a jabber server have to do with X on vesafb? Are you not
satisfied with the vesa driver which is already part of modular Xorg,
provided by the x11-drivers/xf86-video-vesa ebuild? Could you possibly
rephrase your question so that it actually makes sense?

Oh ok.

Sorry for the bad URL but you answered to my request.
Thanks.

Talking about X driver I suppose...

And I think I sort of know what's the big issue there... scancodes given by X
are different than usual keyboard driver and stuff like vmware doesn't seem
to like that.

Knowing Mike, probably some game does the same, too ;)

If modular X is used and gnome-base/control-center is not patched..
gnome-settings-daemon on some evdev combinations...

Not sure if that's a blocker... but we should rush in a new version of
control-center with the patch

Ref: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116195

Btw, how many ebuilds are left to be ported ?

Nah, not a blocker for unmasking. Most people aren't even using the
evdev driver, they're using keyboard and mouse.

Less than 130, that's what it was some days ago. Haven't checked more
recently.
