I'm also feeling really bad that no-one seems to think it's important to tell our users that we're making this change before the change is made. At least one week's notice in the usual places would be better than nothing. Then people turning -xml2 will just get xml until they switch to -xml. If you want to run a minimal ship, you should be doing emerge -pv any way before updates to check for new use flags. [EMAIL PROTECTED] /usr/portage/profiles $ grep xml2 -r /usr/portage/profiles/ -l package.use is probably something we can't affect atm. It would probably be useful if Portage checked for unexisting flags in it. This is just one of those things that have to be properly informated to the user base until our tools are better in handling these situations.
