Sorry I didn't catch this sooner.  Now we have a repeat.  Maybe combine 
the two paragraphs like this:

The new verification is intended for users who are syncing via rsync.  
Users syncing using git or other methods are not affected, and 
verification for them will be provided in the future.

Might want to put a paragraph in there saying git sync users can ignore, 
or how they can get gpg signature verification as well if its possible. 
(Sufficient to just link it if it's more involved than a single 
paragraph, since this is primarily for rsync users.)
