[gentoo-dev] doenvd vs. insinto /etc/env.d
Hello, I just did a quick grep of the tree and found 129 ebuilds that use doenvd and 134 that use insinto /etc/env.d. As far as I can see, doenvd is more correct because it is 1) cleaner and easier to read 2) more portable (for systems that use something other than /etc/env.d, for example) Does it make sense to allow both styles? Is it worth it to convert everything to doenvd? Cheers, Marcelo -- Marcelo Góes -- gentoo-dev@gentoo.org mailing list
