[gentoo-portage-dev] Suggestion: Backup option in make.conf

Hi, My suggestion for portage is: when you do an emerge -vuD world, you have to work at the end of the emerging with the /etc config files and see the differences to know if you want to overwrite file by file or not. Well, what I want is to have a backup of all them (one backup, and only one).

Since I've fallen into the terrible pit of trying to make everybody happy and since IRC sucks for making decisions due to lack of continuity, let's battle it out here. ;) Where we're at: branches/2.0/ Branch from which releases are being made. Very stable as far as portage goes.
