Anyone got a good reason bug 38618 shouldn't go in?
Essentially it's
./configure ...
-${EXTRA_ECONF} $@
+$@ ${EXTRA_ECONF}
It allows for users to override ebuild defined configure options,
potentially shooting themselves in the foot, but in the same token
they can already shoot themselves in
