I have found this happens quite often recently. I am not familier with these network
things, so please help answering some questions of mine.
What applications would call this process?
What does this means?
Why I (even as root) can't kill it?

the prozess is dead but not removed from the prozess list yet.

because it is already dead.
It will vanish from the prozess
