[gentoo-user] Problem with emerging sane-backends

Hello, when emerging sane-backends it tries to install most of the backends listed. Even if i set SANE_BACKENDS="hp" in make.conf it selects most of the other backends to be generated. Is that a bug or did i something wrong ? regards
