MP3/OGG are audio codecs, which are lossy. Means: If you encode a
wav-file to mp3, than decode this one again back to wav there is

I was using the vanilla linux kernel 2.6.27.4 from ftp.kernel.org.
Compiling nvidia drivers 173.14.12 for this kernel fails.
Compiling nvidia drivers 177.80 for this kernel results in
non-functional X (black screen, nothing else, reboot necessary via

every fcron is starting updatedb. I dont need this service on a
daily basis. I am starting updatedb by hand if I need a fresh db.
But I need a full fcron installed for other purposes, so I need
to find the script, which tells fcron to start updatedb.

it and VOILA!: The newest Blender.

some time ago kdm was updated and after that it would not start
automagically at boot time as it done before, cause the /etc/init.d/kdm-
scritp fails.
I think the place were DISPLAYMANAGER is set, has been changed.
The docs I saw spoke of the places, where it is set before kdm
fails to start
