It sounds like perhaps you don't have the JRE setup for Mozilla. I
would recommend using the sun-jre ebuild rather than the installer from
the sun

I know I had to download it from Sun's website but other than
Do you use Google earth? Do you experience any problems with it? Using
a similar technology (AJAX), it has a heavy load of images. Try it and
tell us if there are problems.
