HI, Still updateing/configuring/correcting/completing my new PC...
This time it is the sensors readout via 'glances' My setup: AMD Ryzen 5 2600. MSI Tomahawk Max, NVidia RTX 3600 SUPER Kernel 5.6.11 vanilla sys-apps/lm-sensors 3.6.0 Beforehand I did a sensors-detect and answered every item with "yes". This is the final result: | Driver `k10temp' (built-in): | * Chip `AMD Family 17h thermal sensors' (confidence: 9) | | Driver `nct6775' (built-in): | * ISA bus, address 0xa20 | Chip `Nuvoton NCT6797D Super IO Sensors' (confidence: 9) | | No modules to load, skipping modules configuration. The readout via 'glances' looks like this (the temps are higher than idle...currently a massive update is running... :) : | SENSORS | Tdie 63C | Tctl 63C | Tccd1 63C | SYSTIN 28C | PCH_CPU_TEMP 0C ??? | CPUTIN 40C | AUXTIN0 41C | AUXTIN1 -128C ??? | AUXTIN2 35C | AUXTIN3 -2C ??? | SMBUSMASTER 0 63C | PCH_CHIP_CPU_MAX_TEMP 0C ??? | PCH_CHIP_TEMP 0C ??? | Composite 36C | nct6797 1 0R ????? | nct6797 2 1045R ????? | nct6797 3 1260R ????? | nct6797 4 0R ????? | nct6797 5 1047R ????? | nct6797 6 924R ????? The command 'sensors' gives me the following: | nvme-pci-0100 | Adapter: PCI adapter | Composite: +36.9°C (low = -0.1°C, high = +74.8°C) | (crit = +79.8°C) | | k10temp-pci-00c3 | Adapter: PCI adapter | Vcore: 1.36 V | Vsoc: 1.09 V | Tdie: +54.8°C | Tctl: +54.8°C | Tccd1: +56.8°C | Icore: 39.00 A | Isoc: 7.25 A | | nct6797-isa-0a20 | Adapter: ISA adapter | in0: 1.42 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +1.74 V) | in1: 1.01 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM | in2: 3.36 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM | in3: 3.33 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM | in4: 1.01 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM | in5: 144.00 mV (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM | in6: 800.00 mV (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM | in7: 3.36 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM | in8: 3.30 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM | in9: 1.83 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM | in10: 0.00 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) | in11: 824.00 mV (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM | in12: 1.11 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM | in13: 680.00 mV (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM | in14: 1.52 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM | fan1: 0 RPM (min = 0 RPM) | fan2: 948 RPM (min = 0 RPM) | fan3: 1144 RPM (min = 0 RPM) | fan4: 0 RPM (min = 0 RPM) | fan5: 1053 RPM (min = 0 RPM) | fan6: 927 RPM (min = 0 RPM) | SYSTIN: +28.0°C (high = +80.0°C, hyst = +75.0°C) sensor = CPU diode | CPUTIN: +35.0°C (high = +112.0°C, hyst = +90.0°C) sensor = thermistor | AUXTIN0: +37.0°C (high = +112.0°C, hyst = +90.0°C) sensor = thermistor | AUXTIN1: -128.0°C sensor = thermistor | AUXTIN2: +35.0°C sensor = thermistor | AUXTIN3: -2.0°C sensor = thermistor | SMBUSMASTER 0: +54.0°C | PCH_CHIP_CPU_MAX_TEMP: +0.0°C | PCH_CHIP_TEMP: +0.0°C | PCH_CPU_TEMP: +0.0°C | intrusion0: ALARM | intrusion1: ALARM | beep_enable: disabled fan1 and fan4 are not used, the readout is ok therefore. But PCH_* is "0.0° C" as the other "???" marked values from above are. On the internet I found descriptions of new formulas from the early times of the Ryzen processors to correct existing readouts...but in the case above, it seems, that there is no readout at all. Are the lines marked with ??? "normal" or do I need some additional configuring? Cheers! Meino
