mysqld goes into infinite hang when I try to boot my damn manchine. I found how to get the thing to boot into "safe mode" then I had to unix the unholy hell out of it just to get the MFing root partition mounted in RW mode then I had to remember how to use rc-config to evict mysqld from the boot order... Miraculously, I remembered enough commands to actually do this but well... =\
