This happening has nothing to do with Gentoo or systemd; around four
years ago the development of pm-utils stopped, which causes UPower to
nowadays take a decision. This results in the following scenarios:
1. If you need pm-utils, you either need to switch to the

I am reinstalling gentoo on a Dell inspiron 6400 laptop
I am (again) using lvm2.
I just built the kernel and then (following the lvm2 guide) tried
emerge lvm2
This required a build of help2man, which failed with

Hi,
media-video/handbrake-1.3.2:0/0::gentoo fails to compile (I am on
"unstable").
Searching online I found, that running perl-cleaner would fix that
problem which I done:
perl-cleaner --all
- but without success.
Message was:
