Once I noticed that the package it refers too: xf86-video-virtualbox Was something that comes from inside app-emulation/virtualbox-guest-additions And since I've already declared that in package.provided as something I've supplied. Then I realized I should be able to do the same thing with that package since it is already installed when I installed the guest additions from the vbox version that is housing this gentoo intall. Seems to be working ok so far.
