And another great one! Just have a look at package.use/mkvtoolnix and you will see your problem. # echo "qt5" >> /etc/portage/package.use/testuse # emerge @preserved-rebuild --- Invalid atom in /etc/portage/package.use/testuse: qt5 If it isn't obvious: # man portage -> GLOSSARY -> DEPEND atom
