Hi Chris and Justin,
I've chatted with the client...they're relatively small so the OpenGeo
Professional edition is a huge pill to swallow. Perhaps unrealistic.
They do, however, have database programmers on staff who might be able
to do some development. I'm not sure yet of their skill set,
PostgGIS requires geometry columns to be registered in geometry_columns, old
postgis datastore did not

Had a good discussion about 1.7.x with Mark and Andrea. I would like
to put one more 1.7.x out; but schedule it for 6 months from now in
order to communicate that nobody should be planning for additional
1.7.x releases any time soon.
