Hi,
so it seems the timed release of GeoServer is slipping out
of our hands this month.

Due to a few critical bugs still unsolved at the time of writing
(blockers, cite test failures in particular) we cannot release
today. And we won't be able to up until the 15 because from
12-14 the gt2 svn is closed up for maintenance.

Why did we end up like this? I see a couple of things:
* during the last month we had very few bug fixes
* two big changes occurred this week that made me and Gabriel
work for days on single issue (me, the CSV project related
one, that is, inability to properly encode summarizing
queries to postgis, and Gabriel, with paging).

Lesson learned? Don't pile up bigger changes right before a release,
do the right after the release instead.

What about next month release? It should be like June 6.
Even if there is a short time, I'd suggest we make it anyways,
otherwise we'll start slipping the releases away.

Btw, June is going to be release happy, we have to push out
a 1.7.0-rc1 as well.

Cheers
andra
