Thanks Reggie - welcome to geoserver
Just to go through the checks:
- you have read the dev guide - don't break the build
- this access is to be used for the unsupported module only :P
- you are covered under boundless contributor license agreement
- don't break the doc build either :)

I am impressed that you got so far. I assume this is Raspbian? Nice!
As Jukka has noted, memory is likely to be your toughest constraint. As
your JVM approaches the limit of the default max heap size, the JVM will
start to spend more and more time collecting garbage on one GC thread,
until it

Hi,
I am not sure which of these tested CPUs would be close to 4× ARM Cortex-A53,
1.2GHz that is used in Raspberry Pi 3

64-bit is probably faster than A53 but it is still 8 times slower than Intel

I'd like to request commit access for the purpose of working on this
proposed community module.

Hello
I'm setting up the Geoserver on my raspberry pi 3. The Geoserver is on top of
the tomact. Geoserver is very slow. The processor is at 100% and only consumes
1 core of the cpu. What can I do to increase performance?
+1 to add a Mapbox style support community module.
Kind regards,
Ben.

Hi,
And it will certainly pay more for the customers to ask to add the
old-fashioned XML support afterwards when they need to use their first
non-Geoserver server. But I understand also the wish to be lean.

As I said my intention right now is only to allow the user to force the
capabilities mime type to be text\xml using the format parameter.
I will create an issue and prepare a pull request for this.
Having a JSON output format for WMS 1.1.1 capabilities and others
services will certainly help

Our spam filter seems to be letting a lot through for us to moderate... I
expect it is sending email to blog post authors as well.
Should we turn off comments? If I look through history we have only had a
small number of useful comments (some of those were user list questions).
