Today I tried to upgrade from OpenGeo Suite 3.0.2 to 3.1, which is
GeoServer 2.2.1** to GeoServer 2.2.5.
There was some trouble with the data directory: layer groups could not be
read.
Here are the relevant parts of the geoserver log, and the layer group XML
files:
Sorry.
Still no succes to get libjpeg-turbo working.
I have tried to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to /opt/libjpeg-turbo,
/opt/libjpeg-turbo/bin and /opt/libjpeg-turbo/lib32. None of them won't help.
Setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH in Ubuntu needs a workaround to get it working due to a
bug, but

In the interim (which will probably be a long time), you can just create a
couple of layers of layergroups and nest it to get the same functionality.

Hi Oliva,
Each native lib package (Windows, Linux, (debian/RPM)) may provide
different final path of installation. Therefore, we didn't provide the
exact path for any different version, even also due to the fact that people
may use a different package and put it on a different location.
Therefore,

Thank you Andrea for a proper answer.
But still a one more question. Is it totally waste of time to install this
extra libjpeg-turbo at all, when talking about Ubuntu 12.04 and 12.04 server?
Is the libjpeg-turbo, that comes with Ubuntu, automatically used in Geoserver,
without installing extra

Not at all,
Hi List,
I have 8 layergroups on my server (2.3.5). But my WMS GetCapabilities is
only returning 7 of them.
Layergroups don't have an advertised or an enabled, and I'm not aware
of any way to make them disappear, so where has my eighth layergroup gone?
It works fine and is used as part of another
Hi List,
On my 2.4.0 instance, when I try and GetCapabilities for either WMS 1.1 or
1.3, both return an exception:
javax.xml.transform.TransformerException: java.lang.NullPointerException
java.lang.NullPointerException null
The log contains:
2013-10-16 10:42:15,406 ERROR [org.geoserver.ows] -
I'll open a JIRA for this enhancement to the docs.

Hi all,
I'm working on a web map viewer using OpenLayers, ExtJS, GeoExt and GXP.
I've added a LayerTree (gxp_layertree) that shows layers from various WMS
