Hi Andrea, It is really a snapshot of 2.8, build date 2015-Oct-08. I wonder what it would help to write the output with FILE strategy. The output tiff is technically correct with 24000x24000 pixels. The problem is that is contains 25%, 50%, or 75% black pixels because of the heap memory error

Stefano, tl;dr third solution is workspace-scoped namespaces I think you have identified the two workable solutions. The first (aggregating features) must be regarded as the correct use of WFS as designed (as explained to me in person by a voting member of the WFS committee when I complained
