Hey all!
Is it possible to force the data_dir for geoserver, i.e. prevent
geoserver from starting if the given data_dir is not reachable?

Hi all
I’ve just moved a data directory for a geoserver 2.7.0 install, as follows:
stop tomcat
rsync -av /path/to/geoserver/data /path/to/new/place/
…constructing ' /path/to/new/place/data’, with the tree still owned by tomcat.
…then I added '/path/to/new/place/data’ to the GEOSERVER_DATA_DIR
Rewriting the file with gdal_translate using -a_srs EPSG:4269 fixed the
issue. Thank you!

What strategy does GeoServer use for computing the GetCaps layer scale
range if a layer has multiple available styles with different scale ranges?
Is it the union (really the "envelope") of the scale ranges?

Hi, everyone.
I am trying to download the JDBCConfig module for installation in
my new geoserver 2.9 server, and I cannot find the file for download.
Here is what I tried:
-Read the docs at
http://docs.geoserver.org/stable/en/user/community/jdbcconfig/installing.html
-Went to http://geoserv

Thanks Andrea,
That is interesting; would that be linked to the comment on the
http://docs.geoserver.org/maintain/en/user/installation/upgrade.html page
regarding the GeoJSON encoding?
Anyway, it is fixed now so that is fine.
Thanks for your help,
