So are you trying to report that the LockFeature request is broken? Like is
it broke for all your shapefile layers?

I use rest to upload a zipped shapefile and create the new datastore and
layer automatically, but features of the layer could not be locked. The
geoserver version is 2.5.x. When I use the geoserver2.3.x, LockFeature action
is well.

I can upload a local shapefile to server, publish a new layer successfully
and lock the referenced feature by Geoserver2.3.x, but when I change the server
to geoserver2.4.x or geoserver2.5.x, the new layer can not lock the feature. I
want to know why. This is my request by libcurl.
