[Geoserver-users] GeoServer 2.7.6 released

2016-02-25 Thread Andrea Aime
Hi all, GeoServer 2.7.6 has just been released, read about it here: http://blog.geoserver.org/2016/02/25/geoserver-2-7-6-released/ And if you are using it, start planning an upgrade to 2.8 or 2.9, this is the last community supported release for the 2.7.x series (although more might come if we

2016-02-25 Thread Martin Davis
Thanks for the suggestion. We did briefly consider looking at a UserGroupService implementation. It turned out that the client wants to be able to use the Geoserver security subsystem to maintain and enforce the layer-role policies (i.e. in the layers.properties file). So that ruled out the use

I actually read it, more than once :-) But still couldn't fully understand how to do it (I'm new to REST not just to the GeoServer). But eventually I succeeded doing so, and you were right! I found the difference. The difference was that I entered the color from the code, as Hex number, with no

Hi David, you should run tests against GeoServer 2.8, version 2.5 has been out of support for a while (2.7 just had its last release, even if not yet announced, 2.8 is about to get into bug fix only mode) Cheers Andrea On Thu, Feb 25, 2016 at 6:55 PM, David I wrote: >

Hallo. Have done some tests and found a few things. The issue is that two simultaneous getfeatureinfo requests, to two different layers - one each, with content.ftls that extracts an attribute value like so: <#list features as feature> ${feature.type.title} ${feature.KNNAMN.value} - one

Dear Danielle and Peter- Thank you for the helpful tips! The lead on the XML indexer is going to be critical, because we have NetCDF files with several atmospheric variables (RAP model output) encapsulated in a single file per time step. I think the main answer to my question comes from Danielle

2016-02-25 Thread Andreas Watermeyer
Hi Andrea, variable substitution might be quite easy to achieve when implemented in the config parsing layer - XStream. XStream has "Converters" for example for to-string conversion. That might work, affecting all configurations globally. What do you think? Best regards, Andreas 2016-02-24

Is a virtual OWS Service what you need? See http://docs.geoserver.org/stable/en/user/services/virtual-services.html#filtering-by-workspace for details but basically instead of going to http://localhost:8080/geoserver/wfs for your capabilities you goto

2016-02-25 Thread TRD
Setting explicit output format of "GML3" then the WFS response is properly encoded. That's what I meant when I wrote that by switching to this output format the response is the same as requesting the WFS in version 1.1.0. I just wanted to make sure that I'm not missing a mapping specific option.

Hi Padhrig, which type of data are you serving? (GeoTiffs, NetCDF, ...?) If you are serving different geophysical parameters / variables from the same store (as an instance, temperature, pressure, humidity,...) , the indexer.xml approach suggested by Peter may better fit your needs since it allows

Hi Padhrig, I recommend using XML indexer, not .properties file for configuring image mosaics: http://geoserver.geo-solutions.it/multidim/en/imagemosaic/mosaic_indexer.html Then provide appropriate parameters in your indexer.xml and you can store granules anywhere on your filesystem:

Hi, quick question, app-schema is intended to work against a certain target schema, which in turn depends on a specific version of GML. Which version of GML is your target schema supposed to be using? If it's this one, like it looks, then it should be meant to use GML 3.1 only:
