Thanks Andrea, the application/json is a cool feature and will work for
what I want. Is it also possible to use this JSON format instead of SLD
when creating styles?

No just entering it into a browser. Is GetLegendGraphic as SVG working for
you? If so which version are you using?

We've recently switched to using the external GWC. The problem is that we
have lots of layers that were created using whilst we were using the
internal GWC and they are all still caching tiles even though they aren't
being used.
Is there anyway to stop GWC working for all layers even if they had

Thanks Andrea, I've added a new bug report here -

Hi Andrea,
Thanks Andrea. That's definitely not the case this time, we're using a UUID
for both the layer and group name. We're using GeoServer 2.7.2.
Cheers,

Hi,
We've been testing out JMS cluster, it's a standard install using the
embedded messenger not ActiveMQ with each node using a shared data
directory. Everything works as expected and all changes of layers and
styles on the master get propagated to the slave, the exception is layer
groups.
Hi,
We've just installed JDBCConfig on a large GeoServer deployment with about
40,000 layers. The install web smoothly but we're seeing some very strange
behaviour when we do any updates such as adding layers via the REST API.
All such requests hang the server for around 25 minutes. Turning on
(even for testing only) to run the
standalone version with http redirect to port 8080.
Tomcat can be quite slow when dealing with large amount of data.
Cheers,
Zvi

Hi Jonathan,
In total it's over 5000 workspaces. Which I'm guessing is a long way north
of average.

Chris

Hi Simone,
Thanks for your input it's much appreciated. We're already using GeoServers
JNDI configuration, are you referring to this or something else? Sorry I'm
not that familiar with the Java echosystem.
