Re: [Geoserver-users] Geoserver ArcSDE
ArcSDE 10.3 doesn't exist. You can only connect directly to enterprise geodatabase, so I'm not sure that ArcSDE plugin which used ArcSDE middleware or direct ArcSDE database connection is going to work with Enterprise Geodatabases. They had upgrade database tool: http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgisdesktop/10.0/help/index.html#//001700q700 so things obviously have changed in db structure. The proper way to use Geoserver with newer versions of ArcGIS Enterprise Geodatabases (if you have access to SDE) to use PostgreSQL with PostGIS, and also set GEOMETRY_STORAGE to PG_GEOMETRY in sde_dbtune table, and the use PostGIS data store on Geoserver side. Re: [Geoserver-users] Geoserver ArcSDE
The only thing I can see is that maybe you did not math the version of the plugin with the version of geoserver you have installed – you didn’t really describe those. Also, rather than getting jars from some random place on the internet, ensure you are using the full install, as described in http://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/user/data/database/arcsde.html#installing-the-arcsde-extension Brad From: Idriss ELACHABI http://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/user/data/database/arcsde.html#installing-the-arcsde-extension Sent: Wednesday, 30 May 2018 11:12 AM To: geoserver-users@lists.sourceforge.net Subject: [Geoserver-users] Geoserver ArcSDE Hello! Re: [Geoserver-users] Geoserver + ArcSDE help!
You may wish to talk to Gabriel (who is the module owner for arcsde support). I know his organisation offers commercial support as well. As I understand it you can override the setting in geoserver; in order to publish your layer with a valid epsg code. I know it is a bit of fun translating between ArcSDE, EPSG and SRS (spatial reference system) used by WMS. Other than that join the geoserver users list for these kind of questions. -- Jody Garnett On Wednesday, 16 March 2011 at 7:04 PM, mig...@kadme.com wrote: Hi there, Sorry for the cold email, but I hope you don't mind help a lost soul! I'm trying to connect a SDE10, Oracle 11g with a Geoserver (Latest RC2). I manage to install all perfectly, and my geoserver can see my ArcSDE plus all the layers there. My problem is when I try to add a layer, geoserver don't recognize the espg from ArcSDE, what is ok, since SDE don't work with espg codes..., my main problem is Geoserver need to know the original espg codes to work! Is on that I need some help... I can edit manually the gt-epsg-wkt jar file to match my WKT in the sde layer, but I'm not sure that will work... and for other side you guys probably already know a solution for this problem! Can you help me with this problem please? Thanks.
