FYI. Soon with GeoServer 1.7.x we will be releasing a new oracle
extension which should replace the one currently in Geotools. The new
driver is more secure, faster, and better tested than the current driver.

Hi Carlos,
The plug-in is not written against any oracle spatial specific
functionality, it should work just fine with functionilty provided by
only locator.

I'm using GEOSERVER as a test map server application with data in oracle
spatial. IGEOSERVER uses GEOTOOLS in order to connect with oracle. My
question is really simple, does the SPATIAL PLUGIN needs ORACLE SPATIAL
(full) or it can works with ORACLE LOCATOR
