Dear colleagues,

The Scientific Advisory Board <http://en.unesco.org/un-sab/> to the UN 
Secretary-General just presented its summary report on The Future of Scientific 
Advice to the United Nations. We discuss the importance of science to effective 
policymaking and I hope that it might be useful in your teaching. The report 
was drafted by a small team at UMass Boston and I am happy to share with you 
the final outcome in English, French and Spanish:
