Coordinated by Free University VU Amsterdam we are starting a new international project, NEWAVE, on water governance & political ecology. www.nextwatergovernance.net<http://www.nextwatergovernance.net> There are 13 fully funded PhD positions available, open to students from all nationalities. One of them (ESR8) will be hosted with CEDLA Latin America Research Centre/University of Amsterdam. It is a comparative study on mining/gas-extractivism, related water/territorial problems, and counter movements. It concentrates on the cases of Xela/Guatemala and Groningen/Netherlands.
