Okay colleagues, after considerable effort and testing, I have put together 
some tips that I hope will help others get up to speed quickly.

In particular note the importance of making sure you
a) figure out how to get accurate class attendance,
b) use recurring meetings to avoid changing URLs for classes, invitations, and 
other challenges
c) the challenges of using Polls as your Quizzes.
