I've refined things slightly to combine all those new boolean options (dunno what I was smoking when I did that) into a single --subsfmt option. I've included below the relevant section from the draft release notes to describe the values of --subsfmt. This is what I'm going to go with,

XP Chrome gui Tried patched .pl with: Beechgrove Garden E23 gave a 0kb .srt with both old and new Gardeners_World_-_2013_Episode_24 Old gave 11kb .srt which missed when speaker changed New gave complete 43kb .srt Question Time 26 Sep - Tried new only and all perfect. That was a good test as
