Problems downloading subtitles

I am aware that the BBC have broken get_iplayer with the removal of the XML files. I am able to download files via the --pid= argument, however that only downloads the actual program. I have not yet found any way to get it to download the associated subtitles file, and I'm deaf and rely heavily

Unable to download flashvhigh

Whenver I try to download any program with --vmode=flashvhigh under Linux atm, the download fails. It usually reaches approx 50%, then terminates with ERROR: RTMP_ReadPacket, failed to read RTMP packet header Any suggestions as to what is going on? Allan.

Any new shows added to the iplayer's index since 27 Oct 2011 have a blank modes: which means get_iplayer can't download them. For example: modes: default: modesizes: default: name: Rab C Nesbitt: Series 10 nameshort: Rab C Nesbitt pid:b016p72l :~$
