I've only used it where programmes have failed so I'm not sure if you will get
problems if you always apply it to the command. Try it and see.

The problem is caused by bad metadata which is what get_iplayer uses to get the
info it needs to download a programme. There seem to be a number of programmes
from over the last while that have
