is get_iplayer dead?

hi, I used get_iplayer a couple of years ago but today I downloaded v2.87 on centos 6 and all I get is: BBC iPlayer feeds are no longer availableblah-de-blah...INFO: 0 Matching Programmes. what's the situation? is there a replacement program that works? thanks for any advice.
